Use of GPS Tracker Shows No Sign of Slowing Down

It is no surprise when you realise how easily available covert trackers are nowadays. From as little as £50, a person is able to purchase one of these devices online and have it in their possession within 24 hours.

But if you are considering using buying a a tracker to monitors someones vehicle movements, be aware that these cheap tracking devices, because they are cheap for a reason.

  • They are unreliable and often fail to give accurate positions
  • They omit a operational indicator that can be seen when searching for the tracker
  • They come with a plastic pouch which is not waterproof and often fails to keep the tracker secure
  • The magnets used to hold the tracker in place are inadequate to keep the tracker in place
  • The tracker requires regular charging (usually every 24 hours) which risks the user being compromised
  • The signal sent by the tracker is often lost thus preventing the user from knowing where the tracker is
  • The tracker requires control via a SMS messaging rather than a dedicated secure control panel
Here at SGH & Associates, we have 12 trackers available for hire to private individuals or commercial clients.

Our trackers use the Global Positioning System (GPS) to track its movements. These trackers come with a 3 month battery life and fully enclosed in a secure waterproof and dust proof case. The trackers are equipped with magnets strong enough to remain in position over the most extreme terrain and conditions.

As part of our vehicle tracking service we fit the trackers to the target vehicle covertly and monitor its movements 24 hours a day 7 days a week, providing the client with daily reports and real time live positioning if required.

In the 15 years we have been using vehicle trackers, we are proud to say we have never been compromised in fitting or retrieving a device, and we have never lost one. This record endorses the fact that we are totally professional when it comes to using a GPS tracker.

Our trackers are used for various purposes including:
  • Tracking a partners movements
  • Monitoring an employees use of a company car or van
  • Establishing an address frequented by someone
  • Identifying where a person is visiting
  • Protect an asset such as a classic car, caravan etc
  • Safeguarding a young persons movements
  • Establishing if a person is working and where
